Even the Purple One, tasteless, how? Why? When? And what can I eat instead?

Sadly I agree. Quality Street has gone bad.

The swines. I bought QS this year after buying Roses and Heroes last year. Both greasy and not moreish. Even tried Morrisons selection because we were so disappointed in the others. Wouldn't buy Morrison ones again but a least they had hard toffees in them.
I've also bought Lindt and Guylian chocs. So far enjoying the Guylian and will crack the Lindt later.

Thorntons are now terrible too. They used to be good quality but are now over-sweetened, waxy and dry. That is sad. Hotel Chocolat is where it's at!

Just eating Lindt Lindor, not good. Have even encouraged the kids to eat them but they haven't come back for more. Got these instead of Sainsburys after he gave up trying to park and went to the corner shop

Iceland have been stocking Whitakers Coffee Creams and the Whitakers Mint Creams. Still owned and produced in Skipton North Yorkshire. Iceland were charging £1 for a 150g box

All sold out by the start of this week.

Don't buy Roses or Quality Street at all now. We tend to buy a large bag of Guylian and whatever else is available that's not Roses, Quality Street , Heroes or Celebrations. I've also got some different flavour Lindt balls from the Lindt store. All mixed up in an old, Quality Street tin from when the tins were about twice as big and the contents worth having.

Have you seen the chocolet Orange thread?

DailyFail1 · 24/12/2016 23:22

Agree they're shit. Got Godivas this year & they were so, so much nicer.

Eolian · 24/12/2016 23:24

Let's face it, they were always cheap, low-quality chocolate, but like a lot of other similar brands they are now really grim.

Palm oil, more palm oil than chocolate, unsustainable mostly, nasty to eat and lethal for the animals that are losing their habitat because of it. Take a look at the Cadbury page on Facebook, so many complaints and Cadbury denying that they have changed the recipe.

I changed to Lindt a couple of years ago as I had always wanted one of those big plastic balls full of chocolates, and they were good, but now they have added palm oil to their chocolate so I won't get them again.
