To ask what the hell have they done to Quality Streets?

Even the Purple One, tasteless, how? Why? When? And what can I eat instead?

Well, for me, it's not Christmas without Quality Street (childhood memories) so despite not thinking much of them last year (or the year before...) I bought a tub, they twinkle so beautifully in a glass bowl near the tree lights...I had to buy another tub today 😖

Clearly even though they're not as good as they used to be, I we ate them all.

The toffee circles are too soft
The soft centres are revolting
The purple ones are nasty

The green, gold long toffee, blue, brown and hard chocolate with orange crunchy bits are still OK.

Not a great chocolate box anymore, but still a great coloured twinkle & very memory evoking.

I do like a chocolate orange but not the bars, is has to be an actual ORANGE!

All of the big boxes of chocolates taste awful - Thorntons, QS and Roses I've given up and mainly eat Lidl chocolate, as it tastes as chocolate should. Am eating deluxe peppermint creames and they are amazing!

Aldi and Lidl chocolate is so much better these days.
Chocolate oranges are not nice anymore. They're a bit waxy now. Like yorkie bars. Bleugh

I think the chocolate oranges are still great and love the individually wrapped segments, however agree on quality street, they are shit now, and we buy tons of different chocolates but not those any more, they are just not very nice.

Grain you're right they should be made to drop the Quality from the name and just call them Street. I was quite worried I'd be disappointed by the chocolate orange but it's gone down fast and fine! We're running out of options here then, looks like isupermarket own brands are the way to go. Do they have twinkly wrappers though? Annie has made me need to be putting wrappers in a bowl ( but mine will have had the contents eaten cos we're all pigs)

Theyve removed the best one from the selection - the choc covered hard toffee in the brown wrapper.
Without them, it's not worth buying.

On the bright side, the sad decline of both Quality Street AND all Cadburys chocolate means should be easier to not put so much weight on over Christmas.

Hijacking the thread slightly, same question on Cadbury Roses how the heck am I supposed to know what I'm picking when they've changed all the wrappers?!? 😕

We've just opened a tub of roses tonight, I actually don't mind the wrappers but the bloody flavours guide is on the bottoms of the box! And they're crap too, with not only orange and strawberrry creams but coffee ones too

Tres horror in this house at the new Roses wrappers agree the M&S selection box for a fiver is the better option for both Roses and Quality Street.

My tub of roses has these new wrappers and then a few of the old ones/shapes added in which I'm guessing the factory needed to get rid of...feels very odd.

I can see quality street in a few years rereleasing its old tin, it would ramp up sales for nostalgia's sake

I was so disappointed when I opened my roses with the new wrappers I can't tell which is which so left them to dh to scoff.

Celebrations are still the same thankfully! I was actually shocked they were! The rest are all crap though

Most of our fabulous British choccie companies are all owned by foreign companies now who cram them with the dreaded palm oil and change the recipes the bastards.

No wonder they seem to get cheaper every year.

We're sticking to celebrations this year.

Cadbury's were sold to an American firm that has been changing the ingredients for cheaper ones - that's what's happened

I stopped buying their chocolates - they made me ill.

The new Roses wrappers are an abomination.

I bought a whole tub of just the strawberry ones.

jellymuffin I ended up with my roses when I exchanged presents with a friend, I gave her family celebrations which they'll all be munching on now whilst I keep trying to pick through the roses for something I find edible.

Oh ffs one of the older design hazelnut chocs that Cadburys thought to throw into this tub of roses was hazelnutless....

NOOOOOOOO! I've bought 3 tubs of quality street as they are my favourite (this was before they got rid of my favourite one, tbeybhave taken my feedback via Facebook on board, that they'll then ignore).

I will be gutted if they taste shit. I already had to stop buying roses a few years ago as they taste shit, I can't eat the minging creme eggs anymore or mini eggs. Not impressed with what they are all doing to chocolate. Lidl dark chocolate is lovely! Black Magic is my go to box these days, and they have a coffee one.

The purple ones are definitely smaller.
I think the new Roses wrappers are designed to disguise the fact that there aren't as many in the tin but pleased to see coffee creams have returned.
