To feel like crying

2 years ago I fled domestic abuse and ended up in a refuge with my children. This week I visited the refuge as I was invited to the Christmas party, while I was there I was given presents for me and the children. I wrapped the childrens presents last night and it is so generous I feel like crying! It will make such a difference to two children who still believe in santa. The generosity of those who have donated to DV organisations is amazing. If you donated, thank you so much for adding some cheer to what is frankly still a very difficult time of the year for me.

Oh I'm so pleased they are tears of thankfulness not sadness. You've done the best thing ever in getting away so massive congratulations and love to you.

Your DC will have a beautiful Christmas and for many of us who have not suffered DV it's just one tiny thing to help someone in need and I'm sure they were delighted to so something.

That's lovely. I so wish there had been something like that in the 70s for my mum and us. Happy Christmas!
