To wrap my husband's presents in newspaper?

So tonight after 3 months of thinking, ordering and collecting Christmas presents for our kids without any help from my husband he decided that the wrapping paper I used was too boring. So he decided to unwrap the presents and wrap them in mismatching paper that will probably get torn before Christmas day.

Sitting drinking a glass of wine and watching him unwrap and re-wrap the presents I'm thinking up revenge strategies. Wrapping his presents in newspaper and replacing his presents with a horrible alternatives are the only thing that come to mind

Goodness, who does matching wrapping paper? Our presents get wrapped in whatever comes to hand, with decreasing levels of skill as the Wine goes down.

Wow! I think I would go aprshit atthst!

However, thisdoes meannext Year you could collect the tackiest, most outrageous paper throughout the year and use it to wrap next year's' gifts!

As for his this year I'd have todo something with them ..... x

Babytalkobsession · 23/12/2016 07:15

I bloody hope he's reusing your paper. Our planet really is doomed if we have people with this attitude living on it.

What a tool.

Wrap his gifts in old tights.

Preferably American tan.

I've wrapped all mine in brown paper and string.

Or done the same for recipients who get off on that sort of shit. Except I didn't use string, I crocheted a long chain complete with a crochet heart and star for the centre so I didn't have to do any housework

oleoleoleole · 23/12/2016 07:43

Give him his own to wrap, don't tell him they're his!

PickAChew · 23/12/2016 07:46

Running with babytalk's idea, wrap his presents in the stuff he's removed from the kids'.

AutumnalLeaves38 · 23/12/2016 08:07

For wrapping his presents:

Print off from this template (the more blurry, badly done and cheap-looking the better)

Xmas Wink

I've wrapped my DHs in the packing paper all my Amazon parcels came in, I did chuck a bow on top Xmas Wink

He's ridiculous. I wouldn't bother doing anything to get my own back though.

I wrap presents in newspaper sometimes just because why not

When I was a kid, we'd wrap birthday presents in the Sunday funnies. (Not just my family, it was a thing.) It was great, especially if the person giving you the gift got the NYT or something. Totally different cartoons than what you got every Sunday!

TheSnowFairy · 25/12/2016 10:09

Op, your post is hilarious - my DH would never do that in a million years!

What a complete waste of time, definitely a Grade A Faffer.

Happy Christmas and enjoy the Wine
