I meant to post about this yesterday but forgot.

Another thread just reminded me.

I'm too tired to talk much sense, but it's dreadful news isn't it?

Does anyone in average UK even still care about child poverty?

Dreadful, but not in the least bit surprising sadly. We are heading the way of america and poor places will be ghettoised. They will become the forgotten of society, which is exactly what the tories want.

It hasn't even been covered much Sad

Well we won't have to abide by EU directives, on any type of poverty (but particularly child poverty).

So these things are being quietly changed, so in a couple of years, we have no redress over how bad things have got for the vulnerable (and WC).

Child poverty is on the increase and will get worse, when the rest of the benefit changes come in to effect.

I just can't believe we are going to continue too far down this retrograde path.

But maybe it's just that I don't want to.
