To wonder why so few people dislike Christmas pudding?

It's delicious... especially with brandy butter and cream.
Dont get ne wrong... I live all the alternatives like trifle, oavlova and chocolate log but you cannot beat Christmas pud.
This year im going to make Mary Berry's Christmas pudding icecream too!

It is lovely in very small amounts brandy butter or cream or some vanilla custard. The smell is mmmmmmm. Mince pies are fabulous and so is Christmas cake. You guys don't know what you are missing!

I loathe Christmas pudding, mince pies, mulled wine, cranberry sauce, sherry, any kind of boozy trifle and any mixed spice concoction. Hate all of it.

I hate Christmas pudding, mince pies, milled wine and cranberry sauce it's the stuff of the devil. Yuk yuk yuk. We shall be enjoying melt in the middle chocolate pudding after dinner Christmas Day much nicer.

Some people are clearly eating the wrong type of pudding. It is only good when it's really fruity, not cakey at all. The ones at the end of a pub Christmas meal are always heavy and spongy, so I don't like them at all.

The only thing in its favour is that it's better than traditional Christmas cake, mince pies, and mulled wine.

It's so hideous that when my DP first started coming to my parents' for Christmas, my dad made him a special Christmas pudding exemption ticket that my DP could present to my mum whenever she tried to coerce him into accepting any (dad and I weren't allowed to get out of it).

That said, a stall on Cambridge market used to sell the most amazing Christmas pudding-flavoured fudge, so at least it inspired something great.

Eggy, I'm the same. I'll arm wrestle you for the Christmas pud. And I like it with LOADS of brandy butter, pretty much equal proportions of pud and butter. Can't wait!

I've never liked Christmas pudding, never eat it. It's just too much. Weirdly, though, I do love a piece of Christmas cake, especially my own home-made one which I expect to be icing in a frenzy at midnight on Christmas Eve

I shall be enjoying a nice glass of chilled dessert wine on Christmas Day while Dh eats the pudding.

Well I really like Christmas pudding. I make my own, the trick is to soak the fruit in a very tasty bitter for 24 hours! I've put candied ginger in this year too.
I'm not a fan of fruit cake though. Too dry.
