Someone shit the bed

We had a couple of guests sleeping in the spare bed on Friday night. I've just been in to change the covers ahead of more guests next week. When I took off the duvet I discovered a giant poo patch in the middle of one side ( human bum level.) Skiddy with lumps and some yellow stains around. One of the guests does have a digestive disorder so could be forgiven. Tiny chance it could have been the cat but doubtful as it was inside the covers. Anyway aibu to think that if you have a digestive disorder and this sort of thing happens you bloody well wear pants in someone else's bed. Also you strip the bed, you don't just leave a nasty surprise for the host. I'm just glad I decided to strip the bed between guests!

'skids with lumps and yellow staining around it' ... that's a lot of information Xmas Blush

KingJoffreysRestingCuntface · 18/12/2016 23:14

Maybe they had a terrible time and this is how they register their disgust?

1horatio · 18/12/2016 23:19

Don't you always strip the bed between guests? That concerns me more than the shitstains.

Which are obviously quite horrible. But having this happen must be so embarrassing.

SelfCleaningVagina · 18/12/2016 23:20

Popgoes what on earth are you on about? Why wouldnt you strip the bed between guests? Shock

1horatio · 18/12/2016 23:20

Idk, I mean, I'd be so embarrassed if this happened to me,

Maybe they were wearing pants but it still happened...?

However, you really should always change the sheets.

bumsexatthebingo · 18/12/2016 23:20

I doubt anyone would be more embarrassed about mentioning it than just leaving it there!

QueenMortificado · 18/12/2016 23:22

Also I love that you put this in AIBU

As if anyone is going to turn up and say "hi op, YABU, if you have a guest in your house you should bend to their every whim and if they decide to curl one out in the bed you should quietly clean it up and never mention it again. You'd be a very bad hostess otherwise"

1horatio · 18/12/2016 23:22

bumsex (huh, that name does get a whole new meaning considering that thread, doesn't it?)

Sure, but maybe they were just planning to not show their face for the next 20 years.

That reminds me of the bedtime stories about the monks visiting the nuns, tbh 😂😂😂

ComedyBoobs · 18/12/2016 23:22

Maybe they are MNs & just ......... place marking?

queenmools · 18/12/2016 23:23

I didn't mean to make it sound like I don't normally change the sheets. Bad wording I guess. I clearly do because I was. I just meant I'm glad I'm the sort of person who changes sheets ( I know some who don't) otherwise so so grim for the next guest. Sorry about the detail I wanted to you to know it wasn't just a tiny smudge.

They probably let one rip and followed through. Confused They should now be know as shit the bed friends.

1horatio · 18/12/2016 23:24

Just out of interest...

Do you run a B&B or something or are the guests actually just people staying over at your house?

queenmools · 18/12/2016 23:27

I thought someone would say I'm being unreasonable as in accidents happen and they are just far too embarrassed to mention it or maybe they hadn't noticed. Also wasn't sure where else to post it.

OP posts:
camelfinger · 18/12/2016 23:27

I always change the sheets between guests. But I might not strip the bed as soon as the guests had left. I'd prefer to wait until I had my other loads of higher priority washing finished. So in your situation I might have been left with a poo in the bed for a while.

queenmools · 18/12/2016 23:28

I do not run a b and b. Actual house guests. They are family members.

Ankleswingers · 18/12/2016 23:29

glitterlips1 Xmas Grin

queenmools · 18/12/2016 23:29

Exactly Camelfinger I'm glad I did it there and then.

Ankleswingers · 18/12/2016 23:31

Ewwww, they really should have said something, especially being family members.

They were clearly embarrassed but to leave it and go ( literally in this case) is not good.

1horatio · 18/12/2016 23:31

Hmmm... did you have a guests? Or are you my nonna? This simply sounds too much like that one bedtime story of the monks betting against the nuns 😉😉😂

Uhm, anyhow. Is it possible that they just thought they could avoid you for the next years? Or that everybody saying nothing would be the best?
Or that they could flee and write you a card, so they wouldn't need to apologise in person? This has got to be horrible for them!

GabsAlot · 18/12/2016 23:34

they could have left u a note of they were too embarrassed to say it

NovemberInDailyFailLand · 18/12/2016 23:34

Which family members? I'm nearly 40 and would still not hesitate to wreak vengeance on any of my many siblings who pulled this on me. Heh.

liz70 · 18/12/2016 23:35

"They probably let one rip and followed through."

Yes, perhaps it was a giant orgasmic fart.

Anotherdayanotherdollar · 18/12/2016 23:38

Any chance they didn't realise?? Maybe got up in the dark and just pulled the duvet up? Confused

treaclesoda · 18/12/2016 23:39

Did you have a premier league footballer to stay? I've heard rumours...
