To sleep on the underside of the mattress?

It's a pillow top. It's all sunk in and my back has been giving me guff all week. It's been especially painful the last two days to the point I've had to take painkillers and couldn't lift my baby out of her crib this morning.

The pillow top is not two sided. It's just a firm base underneath, not padded. It's that or the floor until we get a chance to go buy a new (non-pillow top) mattress.

Has anyon done this out of sheer desperation? Would the floor be better?

Have you tried rotating it? So the foot of the mattress becomes the head?

DearMrDilkington · 18/12/2016 12:06

Yes rotate the mattress, I do that every few months and its lovelyGrin

I have rotated it. It's even worse! Baby has woken me after 1.5 hours sleep on bottom of mattress and while my back still really hurts I think it's a bit better. Maybe the epicentre of pain has moved? I managed to pick her up anyway.

Yeah I would flip it as a stop gap.

If you have the money, you can get next day delivery on Amazon so could be sleeping on a brand new mattress tomorrow night (that's what I did when DD was a baby and my mattress was awful, couldn't go on like that anymore so ordered a reasonnably priced single mattress for next day)
