Frozen as the Xmas day movie? Why?

Seriously. Hasn't everyone who wants to see it seen it already? Aren't some of us poor buggers stuck watching it daily?

Why the heck have they spent a load of money to show it on Xmas day? I get why the Xmas movie was a big deal in the eighties, but now? Can't they break with tradition and come up with some original programming instead?

Christmas tv is crap. Some good films are on after 11pm, too late for me.

I haven't seen it. Not everyone has kids, or kids of that age and such films are all part of the Christmas round, always have been.

Not everyone watches so much TV that they will have seen all films. Why not make your own tradition, one that doesn't involve parking yourselves and kids in front of the TV?

I imagine because not many people watch tv Christmas Day so they just stuck any old thing on. Its a film for kids isn't it?

Why do you care about the Christmas Day movie?.... ok, in the 80s it was a bigger deal as that was the only movie available... now with dvds, Netflix, 100 of channels, recorded tv, I don't get the issue. Also, what about everything else non screen related that you could do...

My DC are grown up now so haven't seen it. I am really looking forward to it, as are DC, and my friends in similar situations!

TBH - I am sure most people will have seen any Christmas movie on BBC or ITV now.

Why would you be sitting down to a movie on xmas day? Won't you be finishing each others... (turkey) sandwiches?

I have never seen it but it looks annoying.

But we have Amazon Prime and a whole heap of DVDs so we will manage somehow over Christmas.

Im not sure the point of the mid afternoon Christmas Day film is to be one no one is likely to have seen. Its normally a family film that did well in the past few years, so Frozen, to me, seems to fit the bill.

Well, because everyone has different things they like to do on Christmas Day. Not everyone spends the day engaged in full on huge family round the table cooking or eating.

We're recording it. But I don't actually care what they put on on Christmas Day really as I am not a fan of the tv on Christmas Day- I'd much rather spend it eating, talking, opening presents and playing games.

New Years Eve on the other hand.. why can't they put something decent on then so us boring people who don't go out can watch something original!
