Posting here too for traffic!

So, it's between the Sapphire Pro or the S3500...both Remington.

I've researched GHDs and don't think the newer models are worth it. I've researched Cloud 9s but they are very expensive where I live.

I've thin (after pregnancy) and scruffy looking just-past-shoulder length hair. Scruffy as I've a natural curl/flyaway thing going on and while very easy to blow dry, it doesn't hold and looks rubbish once I leave the house!

Very professional job so need good hair!

TIA!

Has anyone tried the straightening brushed e.g. dAFNI?

They look good on YouTube but don't want to waste that much money.

Yep on my second set of remmingtons and they both were half price. Just bought the new ones from boots half price Grin

I've got some £50 Toni and guy ones and they are miles better than my GHDs. It would be nice to be able to take straighteners out for a "trial run"

I use THIS for heat resistence.
Keratase Ciment Thermique
It's what my hairdresser uses so I figure it's pretty good and it smells gorgeous!

That's what my hair stylist recommended too!

How much do you use? Ends only? Does it make hair look greasy? Do you have to wash hair more frequently after all this fuss?

You only need a little bit.
Not greasy a time all.
I mostly use it on the ends but it goes quite far.
Makes it smoother.
I wash my hair every 4 days!

LeSquigh · 17/12/2016 10:01

Do not buy GHDs, the older models are great but they newer ones are rubbish. They don't heat up as hot as they used to.

KinkyAfro · 17/12/2016 10:08

Are the guys now at Cloud 9 the original guys from ghd?

Newtoday · 17/12/2016 12:43

Kinky that's what I've heard!

Hellsbells do you wash every 4 days due to the straighteners etc keeping it looking sleek? I wash mine every day or two just to tidy it up as it looks so messy.

Ended up with Remington Shine Therapy, half price in Boots and Argos! Brilliant! Thanks all!
