You know, the ones where if you answer various questions they put you in a prize draw etc?

I've posted before about how awful things are at the moment as I lost my job a few months ago and my health hasn't been too good. Anyway, I was sent some emails about joining some of the sites that give goods away or pay you if you fill out certain forms. I thought it might help me in the short term to earn some a money.

Has anyone tried them and if so, would you recommend them, or would I be wasting my time?

Pinecone research is good
Maximiles isn't bad
GFK TV surveys and general knowledge surveys both OK

Wouldn't go near valued opinions, got sick of spending 20 minutes on a survey then being told I wasn't who they were looking for so I got nothing

The Nectar Canvas one is good they pay you in nectar points which can be used in Argos and Sainsbury's

Oh that reminds me, Tesco Orchard - you should up to about one thing every 4-6 weeks and you get vouchers to buy the product to test it and say what you think. I'm on one at the moment which is party desserts, there was a choice of sweet or savoury and I chose sweet because we are vegetarian and there won't be much savoury we can have

Doesn't get you money or vouchers but a free product every few weeks is nice :)

Pinecone Rewards are a bit hard to navigate at first but now I redeem my points as Amazon vouchers so do my Christmas shopping "free".

You don't get paid for every survey - they do "do you use dishwasher tablets? how about toilet bleach? and headache tablets?" ones fairly frequently for nothing and then you'll eventually get a paid one which is about a particular brand of dishwasher tablets/bleach/medicine. I get the equivalent of £3 for each paid one (I don't know if that's standard).
