At my manager. D&V yesterday so rang in sick. No sickness since 7pm last night so Manager said ok to me coming in today. Late shift.
On coming in I apologised to the person I was on shift with, as a courtesy.
She's gone in a huff with me (the only way I can describe it and yes, it was as childish as it sounds) because I didn't thank her personally for staying on an extra few hours nor did I thank the person who took the shift on (paid overtime) in my absence.
Neither of these pieces of information were given to me - I had no idea who had covered for me.
I'm shocked that she could be so petty, told me she was "offended I didn't thank her". I then told her I had no idea who had stepped in. I also said that whilst I had stopped vomiting etc I was still feeling less than 100% and had come in so that she didn't have to find cover for tonight and she hasn't thanked me!
Not that I'd do it for the thanks but she can't have one rule for her.
Tbh it's the last in a long line of petty selfishness from her overall and probably as I'm feeling a little crap still that's bore weight on my upset.
But I'm raging! How petty!
