I texted her when she was 30 mins late to ask if she's still coming and she said yes, then asked when she would be here. No reply. Now 90 mins late. So I've texted again to say sorry but I can't do tonight now. I feel mean but last time she was an hour late too. I'm tired and just want to chill now. AIBU?

Of course not

mintthins · 12/12/2016 19:58

YANBU. No need to fret about it either. She needed to keep in touch and didn't.

Floggingmolly · 12/12/2016 19:59

Why would you feel mean? I'd have cancelled after 30 minutes, in the absence of a call or text to say she was running late. How rude!

acornsandnuts · 12/12/2016 19:59

I would have cancelled at 60 minutes. It's just bad manners not to text to apoligise and give an ETA.

MistressDeeCee · 12/12/2016 20:00

YANBU. If she can't be on time or at least only a little bit late thats her lookout. If there was a very urgent reason for lateness then she'd have let you know

People can be great at what they do but poor timekeeping loses them work. I've seen that happen on more than one occasion

BasinHaircut · 12/12/2016 20:02

Of course not. What did she say at 30 mins late? Did she at least apologise???

gottaloveascamhun · 12/12/2016 20:18

Yes she did say sorry, but then when I asked politely what time she'll be here she never replied. 1st time I booked an appt she forgot. She offered me half price off next appt so we rearranged. For that appt she was almost an hour late. I'm giving up now!

I'd cancel unless there was really bad traffic where you are but TBH if she hadn't bothered calling/texting and saying sorry caught in traffic I'd be annoyed

Leeds2 · 12/12/2016 20:23

I wouldn't book her again either. Or recommend her to your friends.

luckylucky24 · 12/12/2016 20:25

I hate lateness. I would have cancelled too and wouldn't be using her again.

Crunchymum · 12/12/2016 20:28

So this is the 3rd time you've had a problem???? Shock

Cancel and never use again.

LouisvilleLlama · 12/12/2016 20:36

I have a mobile hairdresser had her since I was at school and she spoke and one of my 6th form teachers was friends with her and they used to talk about me to each other and when cutting my hair talk to my mum about me. She mentioned I was late and I said it was to a study period and I had just had exams so had nothing to study hence no reason for a study period. She started saying you can't be late to work if you just choose to be and given me a lecture about possibly being sacked. She didn't like it when I pointed out she was 45 minutes late. YANBU

Frazzled2207 · 12/12/2016 20:36

She sounds rubbish. Cancel and don't use her again.

BakeOffBiscuits · 12/12/2016 20:39

She sounds really rude. Not sure her business will last very long if she treats people like that.
