Would you forgive your friend sleeping with your cousin?

If your cousin was in a relationship with a woman and had a baby?
Even if your friend (like a sister ) knew this and was treated like family herself.
Would you forgive her sneaking around behind your back?

Nothing to do with me.

I'm assuming these are adults and responsible for their own, selfish actions?

NOYB.

HermioneJeanGranger · 11/12/2016 13:44

Why is the friend to blame and not the cousin? Confused

TheGrandTourOfMyArse · 11/12/2016 13:44

I'd be a bit surprised and less refusing of both people but I wouldn't think it was my place to forgive anyone for anything because they hadn't actually dine anything wrong to me - I wouldn't see it as being any of my business, despite the close friendship/relations.

Tinkah · 11/12/2016 13:45

Isn't the cousin the one with the responsibilities?

TheGrandTourOfMyArse · 11/12/2016 13:45

refusing trusting

CherrySkull · 11/12/2016 13:46

the fault is with the one with responsibilities.

Be angry at your cousin, not the friend.

Castleheights · 11/12/2016 13:46

Myob nothing good can come of giving your opinion.
Be supportive if you must, but impartiality is the better stance.

They both sound very selfish and self centred! It's not just her bad behaviour... are you as annoyed and judgemental about the one in a relationship, and has a baby?

ringaling · 11/12/2016 13:49

This is just a hypothetical situation.
Read a article in take a break and was curious what people thought about this ...

Oh for goodness sake!

Serialweightwatcher · 11/12/2016 14:01

Cousin one with responsibilities and should keep it in his pants - friend if single should know better but suppose they would see it as not their problem, and unless she tied him down and threatened him with a deadly weapon, I would blame him

Sounds far too familiar...

If there wasn't a GF and baby involved i'd mind my own business. If there was, I wouldn't be able to think well of DF anymore especially if she wouldn't let it go!

Shakey15000 · 11/12/2016 14:03

Bad of the cousin to sleep with anyone, bad of the "friend" perusing someone she knew was in a relationship and none of the other persons business.

SheldonsSpot · 11/12/2016 14:05

Iirc OP, you, the friend, practically stalked the cousin and bombarded him with texts and offers to come over for a takeaway and stay at yours.

Not that that's any excuse for him, he's still a twat.

But you knew about his girlfriend and newborn baby, you knew exactly what you were doing, and you didn't care.
