Advice on boundaries

New"ish" neighbours are in the process of having an extension built on the side of their house (we are link detached) the flat roof of garage/kitchen existing extension (which was built right on the boundary) is being replaced. Historically there was always a wooden board on the side of the flat roof that over hung our property slightly but we've noticed this evening that this wooden board now has another layer on top and is now over hanging our property much further than it was before, they've not asked us about this at all and I'm quite fed up with them as the extension has been fraught from start to almost finish as neighbour is a complete tool so I'm not suprised! can anyone advise are they allowed to over hang our property like this?

Thanks but not the same situation I wouldn't if mind just replacing like for like its the fact it's now protruding way over what it was before at the part of their rear kitchen extension on to our patio area.

Request council planning permission investigate?

This has nothing to do with planning, so please don't contact your local council.

Check your household insurance for legal cover. You might need it.

Then write to your neighbours, noting their new build is trespassing on your property, and request they move it. Give them 14 days to remove it. If they don't, seek legal advice.

Thank you, going to try speaking to them although they are quite pompous so conversations historically have never gone well! will see what legal cover we have with house insurance thank you for the advice!
