So I went bck on the pill when dc3 was about a year. Sex had been iffy as small kids and touched out. Sex has been constant argument for last 2 years as in just don't want to. Never occurred to me the pill had lower my drive.

So stopped pill 3 months ago (was having breakthrough bleed issues). I feel like a new woman sex wise. I really want to again, it's fun ect. Yes there's down side of a more up and down moody me but I can't believe the difference in my sex drive.

How did I not realise this?

I was a horrible, moody monster on the pill and only realised it when I swapped on to the implant instead. I'm now a constant delight of course Grin . I was similar to you in the other respect as well.

It was a revelation when I came off the pill after 10 years on it, like everything was in black and white before. Took dh by surprise as well!

So much happier since I stopped taking it. Nothing would make me go back on any sort of hormonal contraception again.

Hormonal contraceptives often do this. Kind of self defeating really as the whole point of taking them is to have sex. I don't know why we cannot come up with a good method of contraception.

Same experience for me - wasted nearly 20 years of not feeling like sex that often - came off the pill and wow!!!

Same here. Came off the pill about 5 months ago and it's been an amazing increase in my libido.
