I think love bombing is a great idea and i want to reconnect with dd so i bought love bombing.
In the first chapter a mum takes her son to ROME in order to connect with him.
The idea is you ask your child what they want to do. He wanted to go to Rome so she took him there.

I cant even afford a trip down town most days.

I guess the Idea is not to put your family under constraints but to hear your child.
In fairness I haven't read the book but I've heard about the concept. And I'm trying to do it at the moment but not succeeding fully.

Mmm fuck Rome and take her to costa with a cake and a cuppa.

Your family budget needs constraints as do kids so a cuppa in the kitchen with a slice of cake and a good chat is a 'love bomb'

Remember these people have concepts to sell books and make money for them they don't give a crap about you.

Never buy parenting books. You know it you really do.

Agree foot

Best bit of parenting advice I was ever given was that my child hadn't read the book

Good luck OP. Take what you need from the concept and make it work for you 💐

Lightheartedindeed's comment made me smile, my paediatrician told my mum the same thing about 26 years ago!

More on topic, that would annoy me as well as that's a superfluous example that's out of reach for the majority therefore pointless in a parenting book.
