To binge eat Milky Way stars in the car??

I just need to confess and either be told I'm gross and need to pack it in or that you all do this too.

It's been a really long day, been out the house with 2 yo and 8mo since 8:20. On the way home went to Sainsbury's to get Christmas outfits for the girls and happened to also purchase two "sharing" bags of milky stars. Both of which had vanished into my mouth before I left the car park after wrestling my twisty kids into the car and driving home.

Is it only me? Do I have issues deeper than the marina trench?

I wouldnt have eaten milky ways. mars bars, tube of bbq pringles are more my thing.

totally normal in my opinion.

UnbornMortificado · 04/12/2016 17:50

I want some Milky Stars now.

YANBU obviously.

ArmySal · 04/12/2016 17:52

I could finish the big family bag in under an hour, so more-ish. I always have them in the car too.

ClaudiaWankleman · 04/12/2016 18:00

YANBU as a one off.

If this is more of a regular thing then it could indicate a more unhealthy relationship with food that I would support you in addressing.

lljkk · 04/12/2016 18:01

it's not good to medicate yourself with food on a regular basis.
As a one off, no biggie, we all need stress relief.

WorraLiberty · 04/12/2016 18:11

I don't think it matters whether other people do it.

You don't sound happy about it, and that's the important thing really.

GoodyGoodyGumdrops · 04/12/2016 18:23

YABU because there is much nicer chocolate available.

Stronger chocolate hit -> lower dose needed to achieve self-medication -> less guilt.

YABVU ...
because now you've given me a craving.

Dammit!

SuperFlyHigh · 04/12/2016 18:59

It happens...

BusterGonad · 04/12/2016 19:28

Now if it was a bag of Revels YWNBU!

Sparlklesilverglitter · 04/12/2016 19:29

YANBU

It's a car journey, it's what's meant to happen no point fighting it I say!

RoystonVaseySmegHead · 04/12/2016 19:45

Yabu coz now I want some, but yanbu as long as it isn't every day 😊

Toofondofcake · 04/12/2016 20:09

It's not everyday. But I've been known to head to the drive through when the kids are asleep in the car...basically anything to avoid waking them up.

I eat wayyyyy too much chocolate. And milky stars are wonderful.

I'm sorry for spreading the cravings! And for only just replying because I passed out asleep while getting the baby to sleep on the bed and now I have sleep mouth.

Does the binge eating bother you?

If so, then yes you have a problem.

If not, then YANBU.

Mind you if it didn't, I doubt you would have started the thread.

Toofondofcake · 04/12/2016 20:46

I think it comes from tiredness. I've been perpetually shattered for about 3 years and food is my vice. Doesn't make me hate myself but I definitely know it isn't healthy for me.

It gets, well, if not easier, exactly...it gets different. It is tough and tiring having littlies. I'm sure most of us eat more chocolate without sharing when dc are very little than when they're older!
