I don't think I was unreasonable
Just answered the telephone - someone gabbling non-stop with a strong accent I have no hope of understanding as I'm hard of hearing. I said ' sorry I can't understand what you are saying, I'm hard of hearing - please speak slowly'. Off she went gabbling again, no idea what she was saying so I said 'sorry, as I explained, I an hard of hearing and I don't understand'. She said 'well you have no business answering the phone if you're deaf'. I told her to fuck off. In what world is it acceptable to telephone someone and tell the person that they shouldn't pick up their own phone?
