To use breastfeeding as excuse for weight loss

Lost 5+ stone In a year since having baby mainly due to simply eating less.

Previously was always 3 stone overweight and ate too much and now everyone I meet keeps saying how thin I am and it's getting a bit tedious and embarrassing as it kind of emphasises how overweight I was to begin with...

have EBF this baby so AIBU to just tell them it's ALL down to breastfeeding to take onus away from me AND promote BF in one fell swoop.

I think yabu. Only because I was so hungry while ebf ds that I put a stone on. And then got pregnant again.

Well done on your loss, totally take credit for it!!

I think yabu. But also because breastfeeding made me gain weight as I am ravenous and have to be constantly watching what I eat just not to gain!

Congratulations on the weight loss by the way!

No YANBU. I lost loads breastfeeding. I did some "keeping in touch days" when DD was about 9 months old and got a shock when I tried work clothes on-they were huge!
Well done you! I will say be careful when you stop BF if you want to keep it off.

Why do you have to tell them anything?

They're making a statement, not asking a question.

I'd just nod and smile.

It happens. My sis went back to her pre-preg weight just breast-feeding both times.
