He never puts on matching bedding and it's infuriating! At the moment, our pillows are circles but the quilt cover is floral lol.

What a clever idea to get out of having to do it. Wink

PacificDogwod · 02/12/2016 12:32

Ah, strategic incompetence!

Do NOT fall in to the trap of always making the beds yourself!

Put the folded sheets/duvet cover/pillow cases altogether - sticking the bundle in to one of the pillow cases is genius and means that everything is together the way you like it AND he can get it out with one hand Grin

Count yourselves lucky your OH do it at all.
Mine has never changed the sheets in 30 years; (He occasionally helps with the duvet cover if I can catch him in the immediate area.)

I agree withboth pp who said

Don't fall for it! It is a well known man trick, pretending to be hopeless at household tasks Grin

Kill him.

SapphireStrange · 02/12/2016 12:49

I don't HAVE any matching bedding. [slattern]

Bragadocia · 02/12/2016 12:50

When I change beds, I often put on two different pillow cases. Not because I am incompetent! but because I put on whatever's nearest and clean.

Matching doesn't matter to me - I like thrown together. Sometimes, I'll put on mis-matching socks, purely to (fondly) annoy my DH. Oh, the fun we have...

OrianaBanana · 02/12/2016 12:54

My DH will appear willing to change the bed linen but in reality will look all confused and overfaced by the idea of putting a super king duvet cover on its duvet and waits until I'm around as it's 'a two person job'. Tbf it is easier with two but not impossible on your own.

myoriginal3 · 02/12/2016 12:57

My dh cannot understand the concept of turning the duvet inside out and peeling it on. I tried using the analogy of a condom. Nope. Still doesn't understand. Confused

GettingitwrongHauntingatnight · 02/12/2016 13:00

I don't care as long as he does the bed.

AcrossthePond55 · 02/12/2016 13:15

Mis-matched bed linens!!!??!!! That makes my teeth itch!

I change the bed. And I usually try to time it for a night when DH is either gone over night or will be home late. That way I get to starfish in a freshly made bed with lovely clean sheets all by myself. Bliss!

I guess it's one way of getting out of doing it...
