To ask DH to wear a T shirt for more than 3 hours

Background - DH comes home from work and gets changed in the evening. Then when he goes to bed he puts his T shirt in the wash, he's normally had it on 3 hours or so and just been sat in it , no excersizing, no massively sweaty activities.

I have asked him previously if he could maybe wear them for a couple of evenings in a row as it just increases the laundry and tbh it's not really dirty.

His work clothes however get worn for two days or more in a row in what can be quite a manual busy job Confused

What did he say when you asked him to wear them longer? Maybe he should start doing some of the laundry.

Refuse to wash them unless they're actually dirty?

My fella's like this. Everything gets shoved in the laundry basket whether he's worn it for an hour or a day. He also irons everything.
He does his own laundry, though. I don't think I could meet his standards... and I certainly have no interest in trying.

My Dh managed 3 t-shirts on Sunday.....I wash them, but the cleaner irons them so no bid deal really. Although it is a bit odd.

My 11yo ds does this. It drives me mad. If a grown man did it, I'd be baffled...my 11 yo has the excuse that he's learning about this stuff slowly what's your dhs excuse?

Trifleorbust · 29/11/2016 09:59

My DH would take one T-shirt on a week long holiday if I let him. "It's not dirty" - hmm, that would be a subjective opinion Smile

But YANBU.

I think it's fine, it's only 5 extra t shirts a week. And I assume he isn't showering before tshirt on and does that at bedtime so isn't going on fresh clean skin.
Def get him to do at least 1/2 the laundry though
