I actually started to learn to type when I was 7, by the time I was 12 I could type at 45 words a minut, and the reasoning behind it was that in the "sighted" world, we would need to be able to communicate in writing, and therefore it was necessary to be able to do so at as young an age as possible.

I think this should apply to all schools tbh, as most will have to learn to use a computer, so surely it's much easier to touch type than to use two fingers?
