Are you on your Mumsnet local board ?

pipsqueak25 · 26/11/2016 22:53

that's sad but this isn't the place to meet friends, sorry, could you join a local club for a hobby, evening class etc ?

Try meetup.com I haven't used it myself as there's nothing too local to me but I've heard great things about it from my friends in the city x

Have a look on MeetUp too for socialising groups in your area.

Rosae · 26/11/2016 23:13

You a mum? Try mummy social site. I've met a few people through there

YABU (as you have put it on this board) to think you make friends with strangers on the internet who choose to use these forums for completely different reasons.

If you want to make friends in real life, then you need to 'get out there' where you live. MN isn't some kind of a dating board, it's a place to laugh, to sound off, to ask advice, to give advice, to discuss 1001 different topics, to explore relationships, to find out what other people do, what other people think, and probably 100s of other things. But it is an anonymous internet forum.

If you have a child, look locally for groups you can attend for your DC, and you'll meet other parents that way.

Good luck.

Netmums has a meet a mum section that is meant to be good! Mumsnet is more anonymous generally. Good luck I hope you meet some nice people
