Waffles80 · 26/11/2016 21:13

£50?!

Hastalapasta · 26/11/2016 21:14

A weeks pay, and this year a box of her favourite chocolates as she has been through a lot and deserves it!

stopgap · 26/11/2016 21:14

We do a week's pay.

YoungPretenderMortificado · 26/11/2016 21:15

Yep, 1 weeks pay.

BolivarAtasco · 26/11/2016 21:20

We give £50 which is just over what we normally pay per visit (she comes in every 2 weeks).

andadietcoke · 26/11/2016 21:22

I did two weeks pay.

Elphame · 26/11/2016 21:23

£100 and a gift. She's been with me years and I'd be lost without her

TaliDiNozzo · 26/11/2016 21:24

I think at least a week's pay is reasonable.

A family member does private house cleaning and she normally gets a week's pay, a bottle of something and Christmas eats of some kind.

m0therofdragons · 26/11/2016 21:25

Wow this is very different from my rl experience. Box of chocs is appreciated round here. £50? That's more than I spend on my mum at Christmas!

TupsNSups · 26/11/2016 21:27

£50 but I also buy her personal gifts for her and he grandson and she buys for all my family. We are very good friends though, she is like my Mum.

Waffles80 · 26/11/2016 21:37

A week's pay - which is what I give - is £16 here.

MollyHuaCha · 26/11/2016 22:01

A nicely wrapped gift is nice - maybe a gift costing around £15, plus a card to thank for their hard work.

goddessofsmallthings · 26/11/2016 22:10

A week's pay for Christmas plus a personal gift - this year it's the Elemis collection that was QVC's TSV a week or so ago - and a bottle of decent champagne for New Year.

Puffedsleevedress · 26/11/2016 23:33

£50 here too!
