Asda use yodel...why are they even offering next day delivery.

Now I need to share this.
I had no idea that ASDA use yodel.
I ordered my shopping (clothes) on Monday for next day delivery. £4.50 charge for this. ( but I needed the item for next day)
The parcel only got to yodel this morning and they are forecasting delivery for the 24th.

I'm not getting this until next week am I? Can I cancel it? It would be quicker to go in store.

I feel it is my public duty to warn you not to order from Asda online, if you want the actual parcel.

I wonder if it's a problem with the Shaw distribution centre. A culvert collapsed on Beal Lane earlier this week when there was a lot of flooding in Greater Manchester. I don't know if Asda ship from there but I do see a lot of Yodel lorries.

Yeah I think that's Yodel's national distribution centre. They probably got behind. Asda shouldn't have charged you for next day delivery or had it as an option. Perhaps only some items come from there and they couldn't be arsed to update the website.

I don't know if you'll have success in cancelling the order but they should at least refund the delivery charge. Good luck!

I've ordered two items recently that should have been delivered the next day, both were delivered by Yodel eventually but it wasn't next day. I had to call them out on their shit service on Twitter as they'd actually lost one of the items, then they miraculously found it (a massive TV unit), absolutely awful company.

Contact Asda get a reduction on your delivery costs?

Complain to Asda. We avoid yodel like the plague.

I will contact them for a delivery refund.

I really needed the items (school uniform and shoes) I have a very dissapointed child waiting for new uniform.

I just think that everyone needs to know, not to use them as they are unreliable.if they had said we use Yodel I would not have used them.

Cancel, and reorder to collect in store. I've done that this week.
