Popped up on my Facebook.

AIBU or aren't these things the bare minimum someone should be doing. Not treated as the ultimate "gifts"

YANBU, they are the basics. I'd quite like DP to buy me more stuff though Grin

Oliversmumsarmy · 23/11/2016 23:42

Gifts come wrapped up in a nice wrapping paper.
Used to work with a girl who thought it was Christmas if her bf didn't her for 24hours

'honety'. Ffs.

JE678 · 24/11/2016 00:02

Men bring me attention, honety, loyalty and effort but what I really want is an 's'. Fucking men!

Birdsgottafly · 24/11/2016 00:10

Worse are the "strong women, weep behind closed doors" and the crap about them "loving beyond all faults".

Relationships shouldn't need strength and be a battle and if he's giving you something to cry about, just fuck him off.

GreatFuckability · 24/11/2016 00:17

I hate these things, that said I do think those things are far more important than Stuff and it's probably not a bad idea to be reminded* of that occasionally.

*spelled correctly

TinklyLittleLaugh · 24/11/2016 00:38

Being nice and giving expensive gifts shouldn't be an either/or though. I mean being nice is the absolute baseline; a woman should aim a little higher than that.

YouHadMeAtCake · 24/11/2016 00:38

YANBU , they're nauseating. The people on my facebook that share these sort of things are usually in crappy relationships and don't even get those basics listed , let alone any gifts.

VimFuego101 · 24/11/2016 01:12

Nah, i prefer Rolos Grin

CaoNiMa · 24/11/2016 06:54

She's right, though. Dishonety is really the worst trait in a guy.

Oliversmumsarmy · 26/11/2016 20:34

This is just the latest in a whole hosts of posts from one particular person. It is making me queasy.

I read recently in one of the papers that the more shite memes some posts the lower their IQ according to some legitimate research source. Not that it takes a team of researchers to work that one out.

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 26/11/2016 21:28

I'd burn with mortification forever if I ever inadvertently posted some shite like that online.

littlesallyracket · 26/11/2016 22:56

I absolutely hate this sort of sanctimonious sugary bullshit on Facebook and I'm also convinced that whenever people post things like this they're almost always doing it to sneer at other people - eg I bet whoever shared the guff in the OP did it because someone else she knows just shared a picture of some flowers or a present someone's husband bought for them.

I also hate the 'Share if U have an awesome mom!!!!!' or 'Only ur friends will be there for you no matter what! Tag ur besties to show u love them!!!!!" bollocks that gets bandied about all the time.

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 26/11/2016 23:05

SOunds to me like the person who posted this has a tight fisted OH and they're trying to paint them to be romantic

Oliversmumsarmy · 26/11/2016 23:09

Oh no she keeps posting about her perfect life, her perfect dh .
