The bottle is unopened.
I was pregnant last Christmas hence it's still in the cupboard Grin

Open it & pour some out. smell it, look at it. If it's off you'll be able to tell.

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 22/11/2016 12:34

Check the texture. Curdled Bailey's doesn't sound too appealing.

RatHammock · 22/11/2016 12:35

It's probably fine. If it looks and smells alright, bottoms up!

Isn't it a little early in the day though? Wink

orangepudding · 22/11/2016 12:35

If it hasn't curdled it may be fine.

kali110 · 22/11/2016 12:38

I prob wouldn't because of the milk/cream but i know others would Grin

steppemum · 22/11/2016 12:39

no, definitely not. In fact I'll come and take the bottle away for you. Grin

agree with others, it should be fine, alcohol is a preservative

BertieBotts · 22/11/2016 12:39

It'll be fine. They keep for months/years so I doubt it will curdle just after a few extra months.

BorpBorpBorp · 22/11/2016 12:50

If it's bad, you'll know it, as it will have curdled. It'll probably be fine, but might not last as long as usual once opened. Keep it in the fridge once you've opened it.

Hastalapasta · 22/11/2016 12:52

No curdling then you are good to go! Please report back when you have opened itGrin

Mamabear14 · 22/11/2016 12:54

I would if it's unopened. I am debating drinking an opened bottle of tia Maria that's been open around 2 years. I had one drink out of it then found out I was pregnant!

clare2307 · 22/11/2016 12:55

If it looks and smells ok... (Which I'm sure it will) I would Grin

StarOnTheTree · 22/11/2016 13:00

I've been drinking from the same bottle of baileys for years I know total lightweight here so I always give it the sniff test each December as I only drink it near xmas. No idea what the expiry date is but it's always been fine.

BarbaraofSeville · 22/11/2016 13:02

Sounds like Star might be like me. I had a bottle on the go for years - it was about 5 years out of date when I finished it and it was fine. It even survived a house move, which is how I know how old it is - I remember looking at it and thinking 'I'm sure we opened that in the old house' which was several years previously.

LetitiaCropleysCookbook · 22/11/2016 13:10

As pps have advised - rely on your sense of smell and taste buds. Give it a good shake first. I'm sure it'll be fine. Enjoy!

Mummyshortlegz · 22/11/2016 13:13

www.baileys.com/en-us/product_company_information.html It's only after two years open or not that it might not be as tasty.

Raines100 · 22/11/2016 13:17

I had a bubble bath and a glass of Bailey's from a bottle that had been OPEN a year. It tasted lovely, and I was fine Grin

liz70 · 22/11/2016 13:55

Shock at people who can make a bottle of Baileys last for years!

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 22/11/2016 14:04

I love the idea of a years old bottle of Bailey's. Only being dusted off for the death of a monarch or the birth of a child and then solemnly placed back in the cupboard.

StarOnTheTree · 22/11/2016 16:25

I know liz Every year one of New Year's resolutions is to drink more but it never happens Shock

Ratonastick · 22/11/2016 16:46

Bitter, nauseating experience tells me that it will be absolutely crystal clear if you pour a glass of off Baileys. The smell will linger for a while too.

In fairness, I think it had been open for a few years and was at the back of the cupboard where only the desperate venture......

PisforPeter · 22/11/2016 21:40

Ha ha, thank you folks
