I suspect IABU but surely an almost 10 year old child can throw up into a bowl that's right next to them and not all over the sodding rug and floor and trail it all over the room and the stairs?

Sad

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 15/11/2016 23:45

Hope it's all over soon (no pun intended)

My DD is currently sick with a throat infection and she has been vomiting. She often says 'sorry' afterwards!! Poor little thing. I always tell there's nothing to be sorry for. Tonight she threw up on Daddy and kept mentioning 'Your jumper. Your jumper's dirty!'

nellypledge16 · 16/11/2016 01:41

Oh, when they apologise for spewing, breaks your heart. Mine has been known to try and apologise mid spew!

We always lay a big towel over the pillow if there potential for night time vomiting. It can save pillows getting ruined.

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 16/11/2016 02:11

My late mother kept a large blue bowl for me to be sick in. I know she cleaned it well but it had its own distinct "smell" which probably assisted the vomit. It's one of the only historical smells I can invoke

Sherlock35 · 16/11/2016 18:17

You're all lovely, thank you for your kind words. We have been vomit free since 11pm last night so, fingers crossed...

YANBU

My 9 year old on the way back from the airport said he was feeling unwell, i said if you need to be ill, put down the window and be sick or tell me and i will stop, failing that be sick in your Baseball Cap.

Well 10 minutes later he pukes all over the back of the my car seat.

Then i dropped my bloody iphone in the bucket of sick water when i was cleaning it up. 600 quid gone !

insancerre · 16/11/2016 18:29

At least you can wash a rug and your floors
But my hairdryer did not recover from being spewed on
