What size laundry basket?

sorry this is not really an AIBU question. I need a new laundry basket, and really cant be bothered carting one home on the bus, especially in the rain, today; so I wanted to buy online. But it is difficult to imagine the sizes. we are a family of 4. 2 adults, 2 children. Is a 35 litre bin adequate or do I need the 60 l ? such a boring topic, i know - i just want to get it ordered!!

35L is tiny. Dh and I have 2 of these as one would be too small. The kids have their own pop up ones in their bedrooms

In my experience of 2 adults and 2 children you need as big as you can afford and still in will overflow onto the floor around it.

We have 2 80l ones for 3 of us...

Admittedly that takes bedding and towels too.

i am thinking of this

i usually take the bedding off an put it straight in the machine so bypass the basket. when the kids r asked to tidy their rooms they do have a habit of tidying all their dirty (and clean- but not in the right place) clothes into the laundry basket.

thank for the reples - the 60l is ordered. By tomorrow there will not be a pile of washing at the top of the stairs - one hopes!
