Looking sideways at someone?

Went for drinks with a fairly new friend last night and halfway through her ex bf joined us. I was a bit tipsy at this point but was polite/professional etc - at most a bit animated and chatty but nothing more. About halfway through she jokingly called him up on the way he looked at me, apparently he kind of glanced at me sideways then moved his eyes back to the side a few times - don't know what this means! Like implying I'm crazy? Or what? I know it's not a big deal but I'm paranoid...!

It probably meant "ooh she's a bit pissed isn't she!" or similar. It's can be a jokey thing. It's not worth ruminating on.

And what other people think of you is none of your business anyway Wink

You've got the Hangover Fear. It will pass. Don't worry about it.
Actually once me and dh were so drunk that a group of ex pats we bumped into on holiday did those same looks and decided to find a new pub to get away from us. It happens. We were delightful company but oh so drunk.

It's the hang over fear, it's making you paranoid, try not to worry about it!

TheNaze73 · 12/11/2016 09:53

You're overthinking this Op.

I tend to find the behaviour self evaluation of those who are tipsy not be very accurate.
