And I've just bought a stunt pineapple! Grin

The washing up area was a thing of beauty! There are pictures...

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 12/11/2016 07:51

Thank you! I have gone back to look and now hang my head in shame. I have no fancy bottles out and the washing up liquid isn't even branded. Must try harder Grin

Gowgirl · 12/11/2016 08:19

Its perfectly acceptable to decant cheap liquid into a posher bottle!

Ah!! Thanks, Hesterton 🙂 It's still going on now that Tesco sell them for little more than a quid, though?! Anyone got pictures of the washing up doodahs? That sounds a little more interesting...

PrimalLass · 12/11/2016 09:18

I feel very superior now as I buy pineapples to actually eat rather than stunt and then forget about them and they go mouldy

SleepFreeZone · 12/11/2016 09:59

The trick with pineapple is just to get it home and cut it straight away. If you let it linger for too long it's a job that you just keep putting off until you bin it 🙊

CaptainBrickbeard · 12/11/2016 10:07

We always have a pineapple in the fruit bowl because they are cheap in Aldi and we like them. Worse still, our fruit bowl lives on the kitchen window sill so it must look like we are proudly displaying our pineapple all the time as an unwitting signal of how posh we are!

SpunkyMummy · 12/11/2016 10:43

Oh wow. This thread make m feel like a totally slob.

I don't really do anything before guests come over....
well, they usually get tea/coffee cups and not the huge mugs (more like little bowls...) I like to use. But that's it :0

IJustLostTheGame · 12/11/2016 10:47

Don't forget your stunt tea towels and guest towels in the loo.
my mil has these, and stunt matching teacups in the glass cupboard. she's batshit

SpunkyMummy · 12/11/2016 10:55

But... why?!
I must be a horrible hostess... have to ask DH if his mother does anything like this. Because mine definitely doesn't. (Different cups etc... but that's it)

SleepFreeZone · 12/11/2016 11:12

I have posh cutlery for Christmas 💁

Gingernaut · 14/11/2016 14:52

Weirdly.

I work in a hospital where we have a wildly overpriced Spar.

Every now and again, there are special promotions where the items on special offer are piled on special cardboard units, on the ends of the aisles and around the tills.

The shop isn't renowned for its healthy options, the specials have been four packs of muffins, multipacks of crisps and fizzy drinks.

I went into the shop today and found pineapples all over the place.

Everywhere one would expect to see multipacks of Walkers crisps, triple chocolate muffins or 1.5l bottles of cola there were pineapples.

They're on special amd have been shipped in specially.

As soon as I saw them, crammed around the tills and randomly peeking out of the shelves around the shop, I thought of this thread. Grin

Allthebestnamesareused · 14/11/2016 21:18

I visited my sil on Friday. I thought she'd developed a twitch but I realised she was trying to get me to look at the pineapple in the fruit bowl. 😂

MaximumVolume · 15/11/2016 12:55

Gingernaut I'd have thought pineapple was the least helpful fruit to give to someone in hospital!

Gingernaut · 15/11/2016 13:33

MaximumVolume!

Yes! What use is a pineapple to someone lying sick in bed?

Like I said, it's a weird sight.
