And I've just bought a stunt pineapple! Grin

Ha ha! I buy oranges, apples and bananas every week. I do buy other stuff too but they are our basics. Today I also bought a melon, plums and grapes as my sister is visiting tomorrow! And I'd not read the thread about the stunt pineapple until just now.

God we are pathetic!

When visiting ther people's houses I used to wonder how they could afford to have o'ccitane and molten brown handwash and hand cream in their bathrooms all the time, now I've read the stunt pineapple thread know it's all smoke and mirrors!

FlyingElbows · 11/11/2016 15:57

Nope, I'm lost. Why would anyone be impressed by a pineapple?

SleepFreeZone · 11/11/2016 15:58

Love it 🙊

Gingernaut · 11/11/2016 15:58

As we're approaching Christmas, is it too early for the assorted whole nuts in shells, the seasonally scented bleach and toilet paper, the Baylis and Harding handwash and the very naice hand towels with the sparkly decoration?

MyBonnieLiesOverTheOcean · 11/11/2016 16:03

I'm going to my SILs tomorrow.

Really really hope there's a pineapple there!

Buddahbelly · 11/11/2016 16:03

I have stunt Limes & Lemons Wink

Which regularly dry out and are quickly replaced. Only MIL has commented on them asking what I do with so many limes and lemons.

maddiemookins16mum · 11/11/2016 16:08

I always buy posh fruit when people come over (the last lot sat there for a week and went mouldy). I also buy fresh flowers and, oh god, put some in a little bud vase in the downstairs loo with the naice towels and a fresh, unused bar of soap.

GeorgeTheThird · 11/11/2016 16:10

Good job, OP. Remember to spray some furniture polish on the radiators before she comes for the "just cleaned" smell. And consider putting Zoflora in the toilet brush holders too, if you keep them by the loo. You're doing great! 😄

Gowgirl · 11/11/2016 16:11

Yay for the stunt pineapple! Now you NEED Harvey nicks washing up liquid op!

FlopIsMyParentingGuru · 11/11/2016 16:21

Oh now I'm disappointed that you haven't managed your pineapple to do housework or qualify for Strictly

DefinitelyNotRuth · 11/11/2016 16:30

my bonnie
You had better not be my SIL!!
Btw, Zoflora has already been sprayed in the radiators and as if I would have a loo brush Grin

OP posts:
PoppyPicklesPenguin · 11/11/2016 16:32

I imagined a pineapple with a cape

I'm very disappointed at the reality

SleepFreeZone · 11/11/2016 16:51

Stunt limes and lemons Grin. Surely fake fruit you can run through the dishwasher would be far cheaper?

SleepFreeZone · 11/11/2016 16:53

I meant to add I saw festive toilet roll today, £4.99 per roll. Bargain!! 😦

YouTheCat · 11/11/2016 16:57

I have a Sainsbury's basics pineapple. I don't think it's the same though. Grin

SpunkyMummy · 11/11/2016 16:58

What is a stunt pineapple? Wouldn't you want to eat it? It's delicious 😋

SpunkyMummy · 11/11/2016 16:58

Oh, and OP. Have a recipe ready for the casserole. In case she asks him for it/wants advice...

Floggingmolly · 11/11/2016 16:58

I honestly wouldn't notice or care tuppence about the contents of anybody's fruit bowl Confused.

Unless you're planning on displaying it on the mantelpiece? It's still just a piece of fruit...

SpunkyMummy · 11/11/2016 16:59

*you

Not him. Obviously

oldlaundbooth · 11/11/2016 17:01

Yes, but do you have a plank of wood to pass for a chopping board? Hmmmmmm?

SpunkyMummy · 11/11/2016 17:04

old don't you have chopping boards?

BurningBridges · 11/11/2016 17:22

Yeah but has it been carved? If not you're just playing with it.

BurningBridges · 11/11/2016 17:26

Hope you don't mind my saying but I have had a lot of wine. I just removed a Sainsburys Chosen by You caramelised onion garlic bread thing from the oven (for me, to go with MORE wine) and tipped the entire thing into the open cutlery drawer. its not worth starting a separate thread about, and as this is food related I just thought ....

I had to pick the onion out of the cutlery then shut the drawer and retreated quickly. As you were.

BurningBridges · 11/11/2016 17:29

Christ that is DELICIOUS - if only it still had the onion on it.

APlaceOnTheCouch · 11/11/2016 17:30

Well done on the stunt pineapple. I hope she appreciates the effort Wink
