Attended a physio appointment today, private company contracted to the NHS. Got to reception. Oh the physio is off sick, we tried to contact you afew weeks ago (so not a sudden illness which I would have understood not contacting me).
I asked could they have not sent me a letter, got a shrug.
So I have rearranged my off duty for today's appointment for nothing. I am lucky in that I can drive to my appointment, what if I was a elderly or had problems with mobility.
Surely it's just common courtesy to contact people if an appointment is cancelled?
