To ask for some alternative Christmas ideas....

My kids have got so much stuff and the other day I found a pile of presents unopened from last Xmas I could probably re- wrap them and they wouldn't notice.

So this year I have resolved to do something different and while they will have presents, I'd like to also slightly shift the focus away from stuff.

I just don't know what and I'm not religious- any ideas?

We all have plenty. The gift which is an animal or shelter or something else for a family in a developing country would be an option.

Something they want
Something they need
Something to wear and
Something to read
That's it from us they get other gifts from friends and family and I always buy them beautiful quality gifts but I can't stand clutter and too much stuff, the kids don't seem to mind either
I also do a bit of a clear out before Christmas old toys and clothes are either donated or chucked do you can see what the kids could do with to give others ideas for presents
