Nursery manager gift?

Blatantly posting for traffic. Not an Aibu.

Would it be inappropriate for me to buy a small gift for the manager of the nursery my daughter does to?. His girlfriend is expecting their baby any day now but is being induced on Tuesday. The gift would be for the baby obviously from my DD

Been at the nursery well over a year and the staff are awesome. Also he used to work at a carehome my grandpa lived at, and used to care for my grandpa.

Thoughts?

I think that's lovely, and not at all inappropriate!

Thanks :). I'll get it tomorrow and take it in for him as he's in Monday but off at the hospital with her Tuesday :)

Very thoughtful OP. I'd be touched if I were him or his partner.

That's a really lovely idea.

I think it's a lovely idea, as long as it's not too expensive. I'm a nurse, and we're only allowed to accept 'token gifts' from patients ie a box of chocolates/biscuits etc.

Thanks. Now it's just a case of what to buy!
