Why are their faces side on? Why do they live so far from one another? Who's parents are granny and grandpa pig? Why is there a mr bull and a Mrs cow, are they married? Does mr rabbit ever get confused as to which Miss/mrs rabbit is his wife?
And why do all the animals begin with the same letter (peppa, pig. Pedro, pony. Susie, sheep) except George.

Aaaaaaahhhhh ill child Sad

We know granny and grandpa are mummy pigs parents because when they go through the attic (with the baa baa woof woof song) all of mummy pigs old toys are up there

There is more than one Mrs Rabbit. There's Mrs Rabbit and Mummy Rabbit

we know this because we have seen them together

Whether there is 10 Mrs Rabbits are unknown but there is definitely at least two of them

KarenLF · 03/11/2016 16:19

No no no, the best episode by a million miles is where Miss Rabbit gets a letter from the Queen to get an award for doing basically every job there is and she keeps fainting all over the place. I absolutely love that episode!!!
When the narrator says "Miss Rabbit has fainted again" I go into hysterics.

x2boys · 03/11/2016 16:26

baby Alexander is now at least 10 he was a baby when my very own baby Alexander was a baby he will be 10 at xmas

EdmundCleverClogs · 03/11/2016 16:28

Please, the only truly amazing episode is 'the whistling one' (followed by any Grampy Rabbit one).

NapQueen · 03/11/2016 17:02

Agreed. Her hanging up on Suze was comic timing.

lemony7 · 03/11/2016 17:31

Mr Bull does like his fancy china!

There's a giraffe in the new episode.

EdmundCleverClogs · 03/11/2016 17:53

I didn't realise it was back! (All our peppa viewing Iain YouTube). Wonder if there will be new Ben and Holly anytime soon, I bloody love that Blush.

EdmundCleverClogs · 03/11/2016 17:53

Is on not Iain

OlennasWimple · 03/11/2016 17:55

Gabriela Goat lawsuit - not funny, obv... Grin

DEMum101 · 03/11/2016 18:05

God I miss Peppa Pig. After watching bloody Sam and Cat on repeat for the last fortnight, I yearn for the strains of the PP theme tune and the excitement of a new episode (DH and I once sat down together to watch a new one without DD even being present - our lives are now that sad).

Daddy Pig's "I'm an expert at that" is a favourite family catchphrase.

Mustbecrazy123 · 03/11/2016 18:14

I knew I was in too deep when I googled 'Is Miss Rabbit also nanny plum?'

The whistling episode is amazing! Has anyone seen the thug life version on YouTube?

Wrinklytights · 03/11/2016 18:20

The whistling one is my favourite too Grin

NerrSnerr · 03/11/2016 18:28

We are Peppa obsessed here. My husband really dislikes Pedro and shakes his head every time he does something stupid. Of course Grampy Rabbit is the best 'I woke up this morning, the sea was still there, and so was the sky...'

Cel982 · 03/11/2016 18:37

The phone hang-up in 'Whistling' is the best thing ever. My husband nearly wet himself the first time he saw it.

There is no Mrs Rabbit, btw. There's Miss Rabbit, she of the many jobs, and Mummy Rabbit with her weird pregnancy cravings. They're both awesome.

mygorgeousmilo · 03/11/2016 19:11

Mrs Cow is Mr Bull's beard!!

WiMoChi · 03/11/2016 19:36

Edmund Elephant is an annoying little cunt.

But in the whole, we love Peppa and her gift of 3 minutes of peace and quiet she gives us. Occasionally.

BellMcEnd · 03/11/2016 19:42

I'm a bit meh about Peppa after DS3s 4 month obsession.

Ben and Holly, however is bloody ace. I love Nanny Plum so much. I want to get pissed with her, she'd be hilarious.

Plus Wise Old Elf is clearly Jeremy Corbyn and the Mayor is BoJo. What's not to love?

ScarletSienna · 03/11/2016 19:56

This is my most favourite Mumsnet thread ever! This is why I joined-it's all been for this day.
I have asked all the same questions plus what are daddy pig's glasses held on by given they don't rest on his ears or nose.

My favourite episode is the whistling one too-it made me laugh and I even laugh telling people about it.

In case anyone doesn't have this running through their head...I woke up this morning Grin

ScarletSienna · 03/11/2016 19:58

Oh and why do all the animals talk but not the family of ducks?

kierenthecommunity · 03/11/2016 20:02

When Zoe Zebra delivers her party invitations, why do they have stamps on when she's hitching a lift in her dads van anyway?

Is Mrs Zebra mental inviting kids to a party that's taking place that afternoon? How will she know how many fruit shoots to buy?

How deep is the Peppa world swimming pool? And they have kids in there?

Talking of Zoe, when they have their sleepover how come there is every girl there other than Candy Cat? The cliquey little bitches. Hmm

My favourite adult joke moment is Mr Fox picking up Freddie from the rabbits house and standing above the burrow saying 'mmm I smell dinner!' and Mrs Rabbit popping up cheerfully and saying something like 'yes I'm making carrot stew!'

Oh and Kylie Kangaroo's little brother Joey is another alliterative name Grin

kierenthecommunity · 03/11/2016 20:02

non alliterative

ditzychick34 · 03/11/2016 20:07

I totally agree with Kieren, mr fox smelling dinner has me in hysterics. Has anyone else been singing peppa pig oink oink oink whilst reading this?

EdmundCleverClogs · 03/11/2016 20:12

Is it just me that would love to see Grampy Rabbit and Miss Jolly get together? Even for just one episode (that would be enough for anyone's hearing).

kierenthecommunity · 03/11/2016 20:12

No, but when I read the Delphine Donkey mention I may have said in a very put on French accent 'ma name eez Delphine Donkeh - HEE HAW!' Grin

HopelesslydevotedtoGu · 03/11/2016 20:16

Best episode is Pumpkin Party

"Ah, a vampire! That brings back memories of the old country!” exclaims Madame Gazelle, before the narrator informs us “That's odd – Madame Gazelle doesn't have a reflection in the mirror!”

(I found the lines by googling, I don't know it verbatim)
