Emergency Bra Situation

I work until 11pm in an office and my manager is male (lovely and understanding though). My underwire had snapped and is stabbing me, very painfully. I am ahem quite well endowed and so cannot just go braless. Do I explain to my manager and go home? Or is that silly?

If it's painful and the manager is understanding, then yes, tell him and get it sorted. I feel your pain with being 'well endowed' though !

Can you remove the wire? Won't be very supportive but will be ok for a few hours.

Can you not go to the ladies and wiggle the wire out? Not ideal but better than braless

Is there an office first aid kit? Would it be feasible to stick a plaster or two over the end of the exposed wire?
I've had to do that before now and it got me through the day.

Could you manage without the underwire? You should be able to cut a small hole and pull the wire out. You'd probably need to do both.

Or alternatively do as pp's have suggested and just pull the wire out

Could you try and cut a hole with scissors and slide the the wire out?

If you have a sanitary pad cut a strip from it and stick it around the wire where it is poking out so the padded bit is against your skin and will protect you :)

Or try folding up some tissue or loo roll and tucking under the offending bit to cushion it.

Cancel the cheque.

And pull the wire out.
