So glad my mum gave me my brothers old lot so I didn't waste my money buying a whole new set now I know how annoying they are.

We had a Winnie the Shit Poo who sang a gaudy song about his body parts when touched .

We got bought Cora the smart cub - if you ignore her for too long she says "sing with me baby..." In a really menacing voice! I once took said baby out for a walk to escape Cora's endless random interludes when I thought she was turned off..:

The worst thing is I bought her the farm for Christmas too, her DM is going to hate me isn't she?

We have some Toot Toot cars. DS drowned the police car and it stopped working for a bit until out of nowhere it just said "the animals are very friendly today". It's never said anything like that before or since. Gone off them after that!

Someone brought my sis and bil the walker when they had their first child. It was so stinkingly awful that bil in particular got terrible ear worms. He told me one time at a bus stop he started singing without realising.
"Hello puppy calling you, do you want to play with me?"
And the bloke behind him joined in -
"Let's all play together as we learn our ABC!"
It's infectious, like some sort of zombie plague.
We have the rolly ball thing. It was a Christmas present for ds2 and he projectile vomited all over it on Boxing day. Still works.
We also have the cube. Apparently it's "fun on five sides!" so it keeps telling me. Abject misery on the 6th of course, but we don't let ds2 near that one.
We have a racing car thing with a caravan attached. It sings "My roof is down, I'm in Tesco's." Possibly. I'm not sure. It also encourages bad driving by suddenly shouting "Let's overtake other vehicles!"

Alas all VTech stuff is near unbreakable believe me I've tried . The only item to have bitten the dust was one of the "books". It was brilliant when it's batteries were dying, it sounded like it was possessed with the spirits of many evil demons. Alas Ds2 tried to open it the wrong way and ripped the front page off. Oh dear. I consigned it to the bin with a vat of holy water to be sure.

Gaah. For some reason I unearthed dd1s stupid singing bullshit puppy to give to dd2.

It is still just as annoying.

We have cody who sings 30 minutes of lullabies and then when the child is asleep shouts to wake them up.A lot of the vtech stuff is very robust and ds with sn has played with it for 9 years and it is still going strong.

The jumperoo was really annoying. Now we have a strange table that shouts 'you're my best Friend' at DS.

DS1 (2) has 8 toot toot cars. He loves to line them up in a row and switch them on one by one so they're all going at it. Give me strength.

Thanks to MIL giving my children toy catalogues last week (why oh why oh why) I've ended up buying my 5 year old dd a secret electronic diary for Christmas.

It was either that or having to try and explain why a 5 year old shouldn't have a mobile phone and, no doubt, making it even more desirable.

It arrived today. I pressed the button. I'm going to ask Santa for some ear plugs.

Haha we had a little green vtech digger (I think it was a digger) that played the most annoying song on a loop and it drove me MAD. Anyway dd hasn't played with it in a while so it got put in a toybox. A friend came over with his two kids and his little boy found the digger and loved it so j very kindly said that he could keep it as dd doesn't play with it anymore friend was ever so grateful at the time but probably HATES me now!
