I've never before been too bothered at the outcome of an American election, but this one just fills me with dread. I don't want Trump to get in, I don't want Clinton to get in.

It's just awful, both seem truly awful options, and I'm a bit appalled that a country the size of America couldn't have come up with better than these two.

Trump is awful, he just seems crazy, but Clinton wants to take on Russia and send the world to war. The awful thing is, there's absolutely nothing we can do about it. Is there any light at the end of this tunnel?

I don't want to sound condescending but I think that a lot (not all) of people in the UK have swallowed the negative portrayal of Hillary entirely uncritically.

I'm not judging Hilary on the bleating of Fox News, I'm judging Hilary on her actions and the actions of her 'people'. Do you really think Wall Street and various high profiles paid all that money to the Clinton foundation because they care about kids, hell no. They poneyed all that cash up because they wanted access to the then Secretary of State and a possible future President and she knew this, hell she engineered it.

I think that everybody's been blinded by Trump's piggishness that they haven't actually read what's in her emails and who her team have been getting into bed with. Fact: she and the DNC essentially agreed that she would be the candidate before hand and essentially fucked Bernie and his supporters over before a ballot was cast. Fact: despite being warned that setting up a private email server and that handling classified data on an unsecured server was against the rules, she still went ahead. Hell, before Weiner's weiner came on the FBI's radar, they gave her a free pass and that was most likely because of backroom dealing by the DOJ.

I believe misogyny (just like racism was at play with President Obama) is at play here but not to the level Hilary apologists seem to want to believe it is.

I don't trust her and I don't trust him and I think the US is fucked whoever they vote in. I think there are a lot of people desperate to like her given the alternative but she makes it so damn hard.

Trump would be an immediate disaster and I believe that if 'private' Hilary who is pally with Hedge funds and Wall Street governs, she would be a longer term nightmare.

Winchesterwoman. I'm confused. You seem to be criticizing her because she was out of town when 9/11 happened. Was she never supposed to leave NYC in case of a terrorist attack? How would she have then represented her constituents in the Senate which is based in DC. Seriously? You don't like her because she happened to be out of town doing her day job? She came back on September 12 btw.

Yeah she said in a campaign rally she was in New York City as one of two senators when the planes flew in. She lies about everything.

If you read the article, it says that Guiliani recalled her saying that she was there that day. If you have a direct quote I'd love to see it rather than relying on Guiliani's memory.

WinchesterWoman. To be honest mispeaking/lying about your location on 9/11 versus the stuff that Trump has said is like comparing when a 4 year old says they didn't draw on a wall versus Blair and WMDs.

And that's before we get to the high probability of him not having paid taxes (and being proud of it), the fact that his tax plan would remove $6.2 trillion from the public purse and give 50% of that back to the top 1% of the population (which would include him), that he says he will force companies to bring jobs back to the US whilst having all his promotional items made in China (to save him money) and the fact that he refuses to disavow the KKK who have just supported him (which makes him racist). He's not even remotely fit to be President.
