Broadband rip offs?

A quarterly bill for 113.00 - cost of calls 13.82, service charges 82.93.

This is mostly for broadband but you cant get boradband without also purchasing a land line - which we don't need.

Is there any way to have broadband without payiong line rental on a land line we never use?

DH has also been wondering this. BT own the line here and in most cases. It does seem like a rip off,we both have mobiles and e-mail so if anyone wants us it's easy to do. Just irritating.hopefully someone will come along that knows something.

Monkeytrousers thats a lot of money for BB.

Mine is only £14:99 a month and £10:99 for line rental. My BB is 2mbp.

Even if you did not have to use a BT phone line for BB, you would have to have some sort of line going to your home for BB and that will have some sort of line rental.

I think you can get internet on your computer using a mobile phone but that would still cost you.

Not up and running yet but Sky are coming up with a package for bb and line rental, not sure of the costs yet but they seem to be promising a lot especially if you have sky tv aswell.
