They always had the same excuse that they are married and that having someone extra in the house would affect their relationship Hmm.

Thank you for your help graphista

I love good news and this one is one of them. Smile

Unbelievable that they didn't step up before, but I guess they were hoping Gran wouldn't be their problem.
Good to hear SIL has found a 3 bed for less than before. Being a single mum to 2 teenagers must be tough without having to care for an elderly relation too, not to mention that a cramped house would have been tons of tension.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/11/2016 15:43

wow at finding such a cheap 3bed home and another of the grans children to look after her

its true the saying, that a mum can look after 5 children but 5 children cant look after one mum!!!

Glad to hear that things are looking up Banana - well done to SIL for standing up for herself and her children, and you for being such a support to her!

I am so happy for SIL and kids. SIL helped an elderly lady in the toilets and the lady told her that Luck will come her way.

The next day SIL gets a phone call from a school to say DN has a place and to come and meet the headteacher (she left her school before they broke up for summer as she has severe PTSD and they were supportive at all) then we find a house just added to Rightmove, viewing and deposits and all sorted in one day.
