im in temp accomadation.its a shit hole. i have made several attemps to contact landlord about several issues he does nothing. anyway this latest thing is not down to him as such the stairs are really steep so i need to put a gate on. i have a standard gate its to wide and i have tried slim gate to small also tried slim gate with extension still wont fit. so now all i can think to do is add 2 bits of wood each side of the wall. so then the gate would fit. would this be a bad thing to do.

Like a baton attached to the wall that you attach gate to?

Sounds sensible.

I think as long as you remove the wood / fill the holes / repaint etc when you move out, you'll be fine :)
Generally with rented accommodation you just need to make sure that you leave the premises in the same state it was in.

unicorn so I should replace the mice I got rid of and put the chair back that was full of mice droppings and remove all the wire wool and expanding foam I put in the gaps. Grin Wink
