to think about opening this jar

Just found a jar of cook-in curry sauce with a bb date of April 2009.

seal is still intact.

As it is a curry sauce I'm not sure I will be able to tell if its gone off.

Should I just bung it in the slow cooker & not tell DH?

I've just name-changed back after the Halloween competition- seems I'm only mentioned the once though. They really have nothing better to do .
