We're building a whopping shed, it's on the boundary but less than 2.5m tall so is all above board from a planning perspective. Neighbour has told hubby that he's 'going to look in to it' -planning I assume.
Aibu to feel REALLY cringey that they obviously are unhappy with the shed and hide indoors forever? 😣😣😣😣😣

Be a shame if you painted one side of it in garish pink, OP. Just the side they can see of course.
Or a big gurning painting of Boris Johnson or something.

RentANDBills · 01/11/2016 12:43

Actually, scrap that. Make it into a cat shed and get many, many cats.
That seems to really get neighbours backs up on here Smile

I would confide in your neighbour that it has to that size because the shed In a bed lodger you have agreed to let it to needs that space for his massive speakers and Rottweiler...............

You should probably tell your neighbour's that planning have asked you to raise it to 2.5m to make it took 'aesthetically pleasing'. You are duty bound to consider their input. It will silence them forever & also keep them grateful for 2.1m Grin

I'm currently avoiding my NDNs as they are planning a monstrous extension and I made a comprehensive objection. Turns out mine was the only response so they'll know it was meBlush.
There's no way it'd pass planning regs anyway but I drew the council's attention to the 7 areas of the regs it flouted.
It's going to be awkward for the next few months though...

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 01/11/2016 13:27

Yep, I'd say: the planning officer said we could have it higher - thanks for putting us in contact!

RentANDBills · 01/11/2016 13:58

Ooo yes, make it higher! and have a Boris Johnson mural at window height on their side

RentANDBills · 01/11/2016 13:59

You could set up a peacock roost up there too. Or make it a Goose House.

ineedabodytransplant · 01/11/2016 17:46

No way would I get the 'permission' from my neighbours to erect a shed in my garden.

They can go FOTTFSOFTFOSM Grin

I think you should have had a conversation with them first out of courtesy.
