to think some women get it SO WRONG when trying to look younger

I am not anti-plastic surgery at all. I find it all very interesting. However, I constantly see examples of women who in trying to look younger, do the opposite. I was reading this and the DM claims that people think she is the sister of her daughters. She is 39 but if you scroll down, particularly to the last pic, she looks significantly older.

  • cascades of peroxide blonde hair extensions
  • ginormous boobs
  • over-inflated lips
  • PVC miniskirt.

I think all of the above makes you look older. If you want to look 25, then dress like a 25 year old. And have surgery (if you must) to look like you did at 25, not like a Bratz doll.

Sorry. Just had to get that out of my system Grin.

Have we mentioned those knees? Deary me. Poor woman will never be satisfied with how she looms, which is incredibly sad for her and a terrible thing for her daughters.

i think she either really really likes the pinky red plastic boots, or has realised her knees look like those of Thora Hird hence wearing the gopping things so much.

Her skin's awfully fucked up- looks like michael jackson's.

She's younger than I am, yet looks like Barbies porny nan- if that's her intention she's done well, i feel sorry for the kids (regardless of how much she might be a good mum) I also don't think she's fully well in the mind. I feel sorry for 'em all actually. She was really beautiful when she was younger.

Ifeelyourpain2 · 29/10/2016 08:02

All i can think about is the fact that the DM didn't seem to notice they put a rather exposing picture of her in crotchless pants on their website? Shock

Mummyoflittledragon · 29/10/2016 08:03

She was very pretty until all the surgery. She's talking about removing ribs. Definitely body dysmorphia. She looks her age, at least. We see celebs perhaps 10 years older than her with that same plastic look, so in fact I'd argue she potentially looks older than her age. E.g. Pamela Anderson.

iloveeverykindofcat · 29/10/2016 08:07

Who are the surgeons who do this to people? Guess a medical license doesn't buy you a conscience.

NotYoda · 29/10/2016 08:15

carabos

I agree

It's an advertisement

Embolio · 29/10/2016 08:17

I actually felt really sad reading that article. she was so attractive before and she obviously has some kind of body dysmorphia/addiction to surgery.

I'd say there's judicious application of filters on the instagram pics. The red pvc boots were making me sweaty just looking at them. If she really thinks she looks like her daughters sister she's deluded.

Embolio · 29/10/2016 08:18

And yes, her surgeons should be taking a good look at themselves

QueenoftheAndals · 29/10/2016 08:23

I don't think she looks 39. I'm 39 and often get mistaken for early 30s. She looks considerably older, like those American women I've seen in places like San Tropez who've been nipped and tucked for all its worth but who must be 60 if they're a day.

BillyDaveysDaughter · 29/10/2016 08:37

Such an attractive woman with a great figure...the surgery has ruined her. I would never criticise the style or look of another woman, a person can wear whatever the hell they like, and tbh if I had an any way decent shape like her I might be tempted to wear a mini dress and thigh boots indoors, for my dh alone.

Interesting that her husband funded the first boob job, had glamour girl posters on his wall (!!) when they met, is "into" her transformation and is often the one taking the shots. I think the poor woman is petrified, underneath all the silicone and fillers she's just an insecure girl clinging to a bloke who reveres plastic glamour.

BillyDaveysDaughter · 29/10/2016 08:41

Queen your post reminded me of an American woman I worked for in the UK years ago. Given the age of her daughter she had to be at least 65, but she NEVER spoke of her age (even when an ambulance had to be called when she had an accident).

She had a smooth, unlined plasticky immovable face and looked like Britney Spears. I could never tear my eyes away when I saw her.

TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth · 29/10/2016 08:41

So there are 4 children, one salary (that of a crane driver) and she spends £11+ per annum on her plastic look? How is that financially possible?
I think you must be right, carabos

BillyDaveysDaughter · 29/10/2016 08:41

Damn, strike through fail

SoupDragon · 29/10/2016 08:42

I feel sorry for her children - they are going to get hell from the photos in that article if their friends have seen it.

TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth · 29/10/2016 08:42

Oops, meant £11K+ !

MauiWest · 29/10/2016 08:48

Pretty women don't benefit from plastic surgery, unless they keep it very light. Just look at before and after photos. Angelina Jolie was already stunning before, and only had a few tweaks done. On other people, the changes are spectacular, because they were not that attractive to start with. male or female! I don't want to be unkind, so I am not naming them. When you go too far, you start looking unnatural and awful.

DamePastel · 29/10/2016 08:48

In defence of people who think they look younger.........

I work in a job where I would know people's DOB. I am in my mid forties but when I see a woman coming towards me if I feel that instinctive ''she's about my age'' she always turns out to be about 38 or 39.

Women of 45 I think of them as being older than I am.

So I think there is a kind of self-defence mechanism in us to protect us from the horror of ageing!

I am 32b, brown hair, never possessed fake eyelashes, never had shellac nails. Never had a fake tan. I suppose in my own way I try not to age too, so I can relate to that woman, but I just eat broccoli, exercise, use a high spf, don't drink too much, never smoke obviously and try to wear flattering clothes. To her I probably look very dowdy. Age is irrelevant next her pathetic desire to look like a porn star though. Very sad. Her poor daughters.

Imsickofnamechanging · 29/10/2016 08:50

I agree the surgery has ruined her. Why is there an increase in body dysmorphia though? Just look at the young Kylie Jenner, she looks not too dissimilar to this woman, although instead of the massive boobs hers is massive buttocks instead. She was such a pretty girl, now she looks older than her sisters and not even 21 yet. id imagine by the time she's 39, she'll be totally unrecognisable.

RitchyBestingFace · 29/10/2016 08:55

I agree with Dame Pastel disagree with PPs - she doesn't look 'much older' than 39 and the photos of her when younger are in line with that age. Rude comments about her knees which are pretty much how most late 30s knees look. She looks like someone who has had poor surgery and has problems with how she looks - but not 'much older'

Still if you want to feel better by poking fun at a woman's looks on the internet...

daisychain01 · 29/10/2016 08:55

It's sad that her DC are already imitating her, posing precociously for the camera, pouting etc. They see that as normal.

They could end up being the same when they reach 39. That is even more disturbing, she is influencing the next generation that being shallow is a good thing

Loafingaround · 29/10/2016 08:57

Know its a cliche but sad thing is she genuinely was naturally vey beautiful pre surgery. Her poses and manky leather udnerwear are so seedy they belong in a top shelf mag I feel so bad for her daughters, as well as her as she obviously has serious issues.

BreconBeBuggered · 29/10/2016 08:58

Poor woman. Her before pics remind me of my DSis, who's 50 and looks sickeningly fabulous - slim, fit and naturally pretty.

Agree about the age delusion. I suffer from that, and as a naturally fading blonde I occasionally get advised by sunbed-and-fag-wrinkled platinum types to follow their lead as my natural look is 'ageing'. Which it may well be, but in my eyes they look a good few years older than I do. Perhaps we're all at it to some extent.

daisychain01 · 29/10/2016 09:01

People aren't poking fun, Ritchy, they are discussing a sad and absurd situation. It's good to recognise this is the direction society has evolved since people have more disposible income than sense. Nothing wrong with talking about it, and the woman is clearly an exhibitionist.

RitchyBestingFace · 29/10/2016 09:08

People ARE poking fun. Even if someone is an exhibitionist, it doesn't give anyone the right to be nasty.

Her boobs are so veiny, they look like my nan's

She looks grotesque! Those hyperdistended breasts remind me of the udders of the fresian cows that, as a child, I used to watch plodding towards the milking sheds on a nearby farm.

Yeah, great feminist filtered discussion of body dysmorphia and narcissism going on in those posts.
