I am separated from DC father for a long time and live alone with DC.

DC needed a new passport for a trip but I don't have a current valid one so we used his, so his name on it, delivered to my house as that is my DC's address.

Do you think this is now anything to worry about after the recent tax credit in the news, with people being linked to your address? This is the ONLY way we are linked and he has never lived here.

I have no idea what you mean.

Your child's passport was delivered to your home but his dad signed the form? And he doesn't live with you?

If that's what you mean, tax credits have nothing to do with passports so nothing will happen.

I don't have a current passport
So he used his passport number on her application
Delivered to my house in his name

I just wasn't sure which agencies the HMRC use to link potential fraud to claimants

Did he put his address as yours? (Sorry I can't actually remember what the form says despite only doing mine and the kids this year!).

I think if he's put down his permanent address as yours then this isn't a good idea, although I still don't think it will impact tax credits.

If your address was just put down for correspondence then that's fine.

I don't think the parent section had address? Otherwise I would have chosen his. It had passport number and he had to go down as parent 1. Her address was mine and I was parent 2
