What to do about DH?

MistressD · 24/10/2016 01:17

DH is a complete and utter git.

First of all, he's always spending our family money on dodgy investments with little thought for health and safety.

He's also been involved in handling contraband and there are have been several court appearances.

And now I've discovered that he gave a load of money to his ex, and to top it all stayed out all night shagging her last night after going round to see her.

On the plus side, he seems to be a bit of a local hero and everyone seems to love him. (A bit of a narcissist?)

Should I LTB even though it would probably doom me to a life of penury?

On the plus side, DH is very good looking and we live right next to the seaside.

I don't think you need to leave him! He's clearly already left you, at the very least, checked out!

Keeptrudging · 24/10/2016 01:25

I'd give him a swift right hook then look mournfully out to sea Grin.

MistressD · 24/10/2016 01:26

Oh yes, I did that Keeptrudging. But what next?

MistressD · 24/10/2016 01:28

I just can't understand why everyone thinks DH is such a great guy. I'm struggling to see any redeeming features.

Apart from when he gets his kit off.

Perhaps you have your own secret admirer? What's sauce for the goose and all that... As for that strumpet ex, I'd just wait for karma to hit her pouty duck face.

MistressD · 24/10/2016 01:53

He always seems to be brooding. And either staring out to sea or prancing around on his bloody horse.

Mind you. Although he is quite hot, he do have a strange taste in triangular hats.

LTB? You should be marrying him.

ChequeOff · 24/10/2016 02:06
Confused
BoomBoomsCousin · 24/10/2016 02:07

Is this the storyline for some soap I don't watch?!

JontyDoggle37 · 24/10/2016 02:08

Poldark. Sigh. Hmm

e1y1 · 24/10/2016 02:09

Either that, or a slow half term boom (Mistress appears to be new) - welcome to MN Flowers.

toffeeboffin · 24/10/2016 02:14

Oh well, if you live near the seaside then that's OK then.

unlucky83 · 24/10/2016 03:20

I'm way behind (2 or 3 episodes) so this could be a spoiler - except I already knew....
I would say LTB ...but ...in this case - not sure if I would ....
I think I would definitely take control of the finances and the household and the business... and would need some serious grovelling.
Actually probably best to get him to promise not to leave the bedroom except to do the odd bit of topless scything to keep him in shape...Smile

FlorisApple · 24/10/2016 03:47

Argh....spoilers! But yes, LTB.

MuggleWuggle · 24/10/2016 04:28

Nooooo. Am 2 episodes behind and Angry at spoilers.

Huppopapa · 24/10/2016 05:25

I'd betray your emotions by allowing your accent to slip a couple of times. Then, after the fantastically powerful backhand swipe at him (^) which, despite knocking him off his feet, didn't draw blood (v. considerate of you) I'd nip behind a large banner bearing the words "TO BE CONTINUED".
