How is it empowering for women and girls to have to look up to a fictional character? We're supposed to aspire to fight bad guys now, while remaining looking young, sexy and beautiful and being a nice, safe librarian by day.

It's fucking ridiculous and shows how women are seen by the UN/world.

How on earth can choosing a cartoon character to head up the campaign address any of the problems from casual sexism to violent sexual assaults?

Is it anything to do with a new WW film being released in six months (picture is a new updated WW poster from the film, yeah, that'll speak to women all over the world )

I'd love to know how they decided on it and who 'they' were.
