Considering how many apparently watch the absolute shit that is Mrs Brown's Boys.

9.30 tonight by the way. It's magnificent and the new series shows it hasn't lost anything with age either!

From NI and love it! Seen every series and genuinely lol! Did go to university in Scotland though, so that may have helped!

MycatsaPirate · 21/10/2016 22:31

I'm English but lived in Scotland for over 20 years so had seen every single episode.

Moved back down south four years ago and have now got DP watching it. Not sure he thinks it's as funny as me and teen do but he does laugh.

Tonight's was brilliant.

My favourite episode was the one where they went down the Clyde on a little dinghy. And when they bought a car and reversed it right into the door of Asda to load up the shopping. Tears streaming down my face at that one.

MycatsaPirate · 21/10/2016 22:32

And I love Naveed. His patter is class. The family size bar of chocolate for the toddler is still a highlight.

ExitPursuedBySpartacus · 21/10/2016 22:34

No thanks b

MissWillaCather · 21/10/2016 22:36

YABU. I'm Scottish and it's shite.

Be grateful that other nations don't watch this parochial guff.

SoupDragon · 21/10/2016 22:36

So you get annoyed at the Welsh too?

ILoveAGoodBrusselSprout · 21/10/2016 22:37

I love Still Game but can understand non-Scots (or even non-West/Central Scots) not getting it. Some of it is universally funny but I think much of it is quite 'local'.

I'm not sure why you'd get annoyed though.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 21/10/2016 22:38

I'm English from down south and I love Still Game. It's got such a deadpan delivery and it always makes me laugh.

user1471517900 · 21/10/2016 22:39

I've got no idea if the Welsh watch it at all. I live in England so can only discuss the English people I've met.

It's as bad as Mrs browns boys.
Each to their own.

indieblack · 21/10/2016 22:43

Lifelong Londoner and I'm obsessed by Still Game. Got into it on mat leave and am completely sucked in. The one with the cruise along the Clyde still makes me cry laughing. Have converted DH and am spreading the word. It's absolute genius - no idea why it's not more popular.

MsJudgemental · 21/10/2016 22:44

Watched it for the first time tonight and thought it was hilarious!

gaggiagirl · 21/10/2016 22:44

I love it! I still cry laughing at Naveed and wee Justin and the bar of chocolate the size of a headstone!!! Same as you mycat
I'm English.

EwanWhosearmy · 21/10/2016 22:46

Watched it by mistake a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't understand what they were saying for most of it, and what I did get was seriously not funny.

PickAChew · 21/10/2016 22:48

Never heard of it.

And never liked Mrs Brown's Boys.

AmIthatbloodycold · 21/10/2016 22:51

I'm going to see the live show in February.

My favourite scene was Isa, Countdown and a big vibrator Grin

And for those that mentioned Gareeehh. I saw the live show last night b bit was I-maaa-zinnn

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 21/10/2016 23:04

I liked that bit a couple of weeks ago where Naveed was telling Winston that'd he'd given Isa some headphones and Winston says 'oh a present for a nosy cow'. Grin

dangermouseisace · 21/10/2016 23:24

I love it (Scot in England) Maybe because so of it resonates with my life/family..the whole nostalgia thing..

Loved Chewin the Fat too

MrsHam13 · 21/10/2016 23:26

Yabu, I'm Scottish and I can't stand it. The times I tried to watch it I never laughed once. The accents do my head in and I just don't like it. Can quite understand why a lot of English people wouldn't find it funny.

BreconBeBuggered · 21/10/2016 23:32

We're a bit obsessed with it in our house. I'm enjoying this series but I don't think it's the best one to draw in new viewers.

YY to Fags, Mags and Bags getting a TV show. (Missed Navid on Still Game tonight.}

SheSparkles · 21/10/2016 23:32

Love it!(Scottish and in Scotland)

I thought tonight's was the best of the new series so far

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 21/10/2016 23:35

We let DS11 watch the first episode of the new season. Completely forgot just how sweary it is Blush. He's now hooked. We watch it on Sunday nights with fish suppers. Classy.

Yamadori · 21/10/2016 23:39

MIL loves it and she's as English as they come, so I thought I'd give it a go this week but got waylaid watching something else.
Not that keen on Mrs Brown's Boys.

KC225 · 21/10/2016 23:44

Love still game (English living in Sweden) my Swedis DH loves it. I am buying him the new series for one of his Christmas presents. He will love it

Redglitter · 21/10/2016 23:48
